Google I/O 2023: What’s New for Google Ads?

Google I/O is an annual developer conference held by Google. This year’s conference took place on May 11-12, 2023, and featured a number of announcements related to Google Ads.

One of the biggest announcements was the launch of Google Ads Performance Max. This new campaign type is designed to help businesses achieve their advertising goals across all of Google’s channels, including Search, Display, YouTube, and Gmail. Performance Max campaigns use machine learning to automatically optimize your campaigns for conversions, reach, and brand awareness.

Google also announced a number of new features for existing Google Ads campaign types. For example, Local campaigns now have a new Local Inventory Ads feature that allows businesses to show their in-store inventory on Google Search and Maps. Shopping campaigns now have a new Dynamic Search Ads feature that automatically creates ads for your products based on the search terms that people are using. And Display campaigns now have a new Responsive Display Ads format that allows you to create more engaging ads with multiple headlines, descriptions, and images.

In addition to these new features, Google also announced a number of improvements to the Google Ads interface. For example, the Campaign Manager interface has been redesigned to make it easier to manage your campaigns. And the Google Ads Editor has been updated with new features that make it easier to create and edit your campaigns offline.

Overall, Google I/O 2023 was a major event for Google Ads. With the launch of new campaign types, features, and improvements, Google is making it easier than ever for businesses to reach their target audiences and achieve their advertising goals.

If you’re a Google Ads user, I encourage you to check out the new features and improvements that were announced at Google I/O 2023. They could help you take your advertising to the next level.
